When is the best time for a Lawn Reset?
Spring and autumn are generally the best times for a Lawn Reset because grass is actively growing and recovers more quickly. Winter and summer may still be suitable depending on your lawn and the weather conditions.
Will my lawn look worse before it looks better?
Yes. Immediately after scarifying, lawns often appear thinner and with reduced colour. New growth typically develops over the following weeks.
Do you offer lawn reseeding?
No. Our Lawn Reset service is designed to improve established lawns by removing thatch and dead material and applying fertiliser to support recovery. We don't currently offer reseeding or new lawn establishment.
What about overseeding?
Overseeding is commonly used to increase the density of an existing lawn by introducing new grass into thin areas.It isn't always a one-off process. Depending on the condition of the lawn, grass type, growing conditions and the level of density you're trying to achieve, overseeding may need to be repeated over multiple growing periods as part of an ongoing lawn improvement programme.
Germination can also vary across a lawn due to differences in moisture, soil conditions, temperature and aftercare, so some areas may establish more strongly than others.
EC Lawn Care doesn't currently offer overseeding as part of our Lawn Reset service. Our service focuses on improving established turf through scarifying, removal of thatch and dead material, and fertilising to support recovery and stronger existing growth.
How long does recovery take?
Recovery depends on the weather, grass type and ongoing watering. Most lawns begin showing noticeable improvement within a few weeks, with continued improvement as the lawn recovers and new growth develops.
